The Photographic Competition winners photographs have been collated into a calendar which is for sale at reception. They have been selling well and there are still a few left. The balance of monies raised after paying for printing costs will be donated to the local Air Ambulance service. The competition proved popular locally and we would like to do something similar next year involving local people and communities. We will be asking for feedback on the back of this years patient surveys in early January.
Following many changes over the last year we now have a new team of doctors at the surgery. Dr Wade is the Senior doctor for the practice with Dr’s Rizal, Marchant, Lockyear and Lakha making up the clinical team. For the last few months we have been joined temporarily by Dr Day who will be leaving us at the end of November when she goes travelling. She may re-join us later next year when she returns.
Despite the recent changes in the health visiting service we have managed to retain the Friday morning drop in, the availability is reduced but it is on the first Friday of the month 9.30 to 11.00.
This years Saturday flu clinics have now all taken place flu vaccination is still available to eligible patients and there is also nasal flu vaccination available for children aged between 2 and 3 years old. If you have not yet had your vaccination and you are attending the surgery to see the doctor or nurse please ask if they are able to do it within your appointment.
This year we will close for Christmas at 6.30 on Friday 22nd December and re-open on the 27th December at 8.00am. Dispensary will be ensuring that patients on repeat medication will have enough to cover them over the bank holiday week.
The surgery staff have worked hard to maintain service as usual over the last few months whilst coping with the changes in doctors and the new clinical system, I thank all of you who have shown great understanding when things have gone wrong.
We look forward to a much more settled future.
