In the event that you have run out of you medication, or have not requested your repeat in good time we will endeavor to get your medication ready as soon as possible. When ordering your medication make it clear that the request is ‘urgent’ with a time scale for when you are running out, you can do this by adding a note in the comments box online or by writing it clearly on your repeat request slip.
In the event that you are going to run out within 24 hours please call the dispensary and leave a voicemail with your name, number, medication you need and when you will be running out. The dispensary will then return your call if there are any issues or you will receive a message to let you know your medication is ready.
On some occasions the practice may not be able to get your medication ready before you run out. If this does happen you can contact 111 either by phone or on their website Get medical help – NHS 111.
